Voters Guide

The Devil's in the Wrong Precinct

We have collected the responses from candidates running for office in Washington County in the Vote 411 database for the 2022 Gubernatorial Election and have published the results in PDF format here.

If you are unfamiliar with Vote 411, it is a national database designed to help voters make important electoral decisions by presenting the candidate's answers on important issues in their own words.  By entering your address you can view the races and questions that will be on your ballot plus make side-by-side comparisons on the issues that matter most to you (for any address in the  United States).

You can access Vote 411 here.  (You can also check to see if candidates submitted responses after our 8/29/2022 publication date.)

With many news reports about threats to election systems, it is important to circulate accurate information in response to any rumors.  The State Board of Elections has published a brief summary of security measures in place for Maryland's elections on its website.

You may also encounter other rumors about the election process and we encourage you to check the Rumor Control section of the State Board of Elections website.  I recommend that you bookmark this page in your browser so that you can find it quickly.
